Mitas E07 on KLR...

I bought a Mitas E07 rear tire this weekend and noticed when I got home that is is scaving my Chain protector/guard from top to bottom. Checked the wheel alignment and it is set correctly... What do the dawgs think? Should I just leave it and let is scave, cos it will surely scave through or what other plan can I make to fix this... I did get the standard 130/80 17" tire,guess the Mitas is just a bit wider...
