I'd love to find a shortcut from Rooihuiskraal to Erasmia on dirt.
I dont like riding around past Zwartkop.

Ill send you a google map in a while, there is STRAIGHT line running over the mountain.

but that depends if you want one that is shorter or just dirt?

Ok,  so in that pic...
The town in the top right is Erasmia.
The dirt "highway" (whitest road) is where that model airfield is.
The plots in the bottom are the extention of Mnandi, I ride there when I want to avoid tar, but then join the tar at the end of the white road to go around to Zwartkops.
I have ridden into the plots there, could not find an opening to get to the mountains. (where your green turns to red)
All gates and dead ends.

Yes, there are gates, but are permanently open and is used as "public" roads for the folks to get to their farms, as you go past the "shikkens" keep left, and go up the mountain, just past the farm house, keep going, no gates there.

And when you hit tar, go right, erasmia is just there.

This ride is happening this sunday (14 oct).

We leave at 7 from my place.

Its 99% gravel roads being travelled.
