I've been thinking recently I should maybe use my 750 Africa Twin a little bit less as a plastic bike, and maybe finally commit to getting one. I learnt on a crf450r, and have been very keen on an older one to scratch the itch. Its use case will be a combination of enduros, dunes, maybe some MX, and the main goal will be to partake in something like the Tankwa rally. As I'm doing my research, a enduro bike (something like a crf450x) seems to make more sense. They seem tough to come by and much more expensive though. So ultimately my question to you is if a mx bike with some basic modification (long range fuel tank and protection) will do the above jobs fine, or will I be regretting my purchase with time?
