It's a neat way to view two different word documents on the screen at once, perfect for editing something based on somebody else's notes, for example. As you scroll, both documents move, so they stay "aligned".

It's not so much the staying in country that I don't like. It's the fact that I don't know if I'm going to leave in a day, or a week, or a month.
Much like being in limbo at the end of 2021, I have been waiting for news since 25 January. I can't plan, and I need to visit my aunt and Dad. It has been over a year since I last saw them, and my aunt isn't doing so well.

*And is it a little sad that this is the most excited I have felt about something in days. Maybe even weeks.
I dunno. I have been in Iraq 10 weeks now. Time no longer exists to me.

I am getting paid to scroll Facebook for 10 hours a day 6 days per week. Guess I am fortunate. 😋 I am in Chicago. Its almost like Iraq but with snow. 🤣

Today we did the "Grizz-Phys February Challenge" (you can find it on Instagram)

1km run
40 kettlebell swings
80 push ups
120 air squats

1km run
30 kettlebell swings
60 push ups
80 air squats

1km run
20 kettlebell swings
40 push ups
60 air squats

1km run
10 kettlebell swings
20 push ups
40 air squats
----

That's a total of:
4km
100 kettlebell swings
200 push ups
300 squats

Leading up to it, I wanted to ask if we could halve the number of reps.
But, I kept my mouth shut and decided to rather just do what I could and see what happens.

Two guys in our group are super fit. One not so fit. And the other lady and I are sort of on par. She can run fast when she wants to, and is strong, but I have been training longer and my endurance is really good.

I completed the challenge less than 5 minutes after the super fit guys.

During the run portion, we'd pass each other on the out-and-back route we use, and motivate one another "Looking good! Good job! That's it, you're doing well! Keep going!"

And I realised, it's time to apply my John Lennon-type quote. And treat myself the way I treat others.
So I said to myself "Yeah, you go Heather! You're doing really well! Look at you, you champion!"

Sjoe, it felt good.

That was this morning. And now, this afternoon, I realised once again that we are capable of so much more than what we think we are. The mind is powerful.

Also, I have a ticket home, so my mood has lifted. 18 February, baby!

Nope, no doggos. :(
As it stands now, I might only be able to see my dad in Ballito for two days, and won't even get to the family in the Western Cape.
I haven't seen my Dad since January 2022.

Hi Sardine,
At the risk of sounding soppy or overly sentimental. Last time I saw my dad was a winter night in June 1989. Use every opportunity you have. 2 days are worth more than the hassles.

Absolutely, I'm going to do everything to make sure my trip happens. I also need to see family who aren't doing so well.
Life is precious.

Any dogs in the furniture business?

I'm looking for a base for a single bed. The 4-post modular type, so I can store stuff underneath, and be able to to take it apart for transport.

Base(d) in Centurion preferred.

I've found a couple on Marketplace, but it is literally a couple.

A while back I was trying to find out the name of a padstal on the way to Durban from Gauteng.

Yesterday I drove down, and what I thought I remembered doesn't seem to exist.

As most of you said, it probably was The Windmills Kitchen.
I popped in there, and spied their yummy-looking baked goods. Wound up getting a bag of ginger cookies for Granny. They were delish.

HOME NEEDED

Talulah is a gentle, sweet little scruff. She loves to love and be loved and would thrive with a family who is looking to adopt a dog.
She is a 5-year old small, mixed breed who has been well looked after.

She gets along well with people, and has lived with two kids (now aged 7 and 10), but she is best suited to a home where she is an only dog.

"Lulah" is in Edenvale, GP.

But I'm sure we can make a plan to get her to her furrever home, wherever that may be.

Please PM or WhatsApp me for more info.

I went out hiking today, and I saw something in the river.

When I realised what it was, I thought "Sherbet! It's Clover. I have to save her!"

So I did. And she joined me for the rest of my hike.

No, the altitude has not addled my brain!
