So with the big 500 following i decided that i also want a 500.
When i saw a 2013 500 six days advertised with a broken motor i made the guy a offer and I bought it.
I made my calculations and yes i wil be able to buy a secondhand running bike for the same amount my bike will cost me by the time im done, but then that bike wont have 0 hours on it.

This bike will litterly have 0 hours on it everything gets replaced.

First i stripped the motor i was lucky to buy all the engine parts in November when ktm had  the roof special with 20% discount on all spare parts.
Will still post a photo of the invoice

On the motor well it was stripped down completely and everything gets replaced
Heres a list

Valves
Valve guides
Timing chan
Tiiming chain tentioner
Piston
Rings
Sleeve
Crank
Clucth (fiber and steel plates)
Complete gasketset
New stater cover (old one had a hairline crack in it and i dont want to take any chance)
All engine bearings and seals on the motor

I stripped the frame completetly and send it off to powdercoat and heres a list of everything replaced on the frame
Frame gets new neck bearings
New shock bearings
New swingarm bearings
New footpegs with stainlesteel pins
New swingarm bolt on the frame (old one had some wear)
The subframe has some wear marks where the plastic rubbed against it, i had it weld up and smoothen out buy a aluminum welder.
The radiators was bend and a bit abused so i replaced them with brand new stronger heavy duty aftermarket units
I also bought a set of carbontech braces to support them.

Stripped the rims completely
The rims was stripped down spokes was grind off.
Rims is getting a fresh new black powdercoat with a new set of haan stainlesteel spokes (still waiting for spokes eta 2 weeks)
Hubs was also anodised and came out horrible orange so i sandblasted them rough and they will get a fresh metalic orange coat.
New wheelbearings and seal for the rims.
New wheel spacers (old ones had some wear on them)
We decided to go with tubless so im getting a new tubless for the front and i bought the bike with tubless in the rear.
Will post pics when i start rebuilding them.

Swingarm calipers and aluminum bits was send off to vapourblasting
Tripple clamps was send of for fresh black anodise.
I initially had the tripple clamps anodised orange at astro but it came out horrible bronze and i desided to redo them in black at another place of course.

Shocks is send off to superfoxy for a service and new std weight springs.
Im a lightweight and the bike had harder springrates coils in so im changing back to std.
The new std rear coil is also send off for black powdercoat i prefer the black to the white that it is now.

I split the motor sripped it down completely and send it off to vapour blasting
I will post on the rebuild of the motor as i get to that.
