So I too, like Ratel had a box arrive on my doorstep, only in this case it was AdventureMX that twisted my Rubber arm

Who needs friends ..........

The mounting end, and the business end

To mount them is REALLY easy
Strip off the rear luggage rack and the passenger grab bars

Remove the side panel

and the old can

It's easy to misalign the new pipes when fitting as they tend to catch the subframe
- See the BLUE circle

KTMAirAgej.jpg

Mount the pipe and SLIGHTLY tighten the three screws circled in RED above

Then STRAIGHTEN the pipes (BOTH of them - stand a bit back from behind). It is important to note that there is no specific position in which the three RED circled cap screws fit as the flange that they tighten is loose

NOW tighten up the Cap screw in the pic below. I was NOT supplied with this screw as I think that AIR AGE assumes you can use the existing one. This is not possible, so remember to ask for a bolt per side (preferably stainless steel)

Here is another pic of the two mounting points
Again, first tighten ever so slightly at the YELLOW arrow. Now align the pipes and tighten up a bit at the RED circle. Then completely tighten the YELLOW followed by the RED

Compare the two...... I must say that the new one looks a whole lot better

So for 3.5k, they are definately quite good value for money.
.... oh and BTW - they sound real good
Now Grootseun, lets go for that test ride tomorrow  ;D ;D ;D
