My Brother in Law phoned me on Friday night very smugly , to tell me he had swopped an old off road bike for a Montessa Trials bike, when I went to see it on Sat it was not quite what I had in my mind, its very old probably early 80's I am going to send photos to John Le Riche who is the new Montessa agent to try and age it as well as spares availability.
When I commented to Justin that it was a bit tatty and needed to be rebuilt, he was a bit taken aback and said he thought it was in very good condition.I will let you be the judge.
He then told me he had started it but that it was running very roughly, we whipped the carb off and cleaned it put it back but am afraid the B.....ch wont start, got spark but I think the fuel she is a problem Seh!!, I dont want to start stripping before its running, not sure where I should take it to??
But should be a fun project.
