It's Here Again!
Date: 14-16 October 2011
This year we will be hosting the 6th Annual Wild Dog Bash on the banks of the Orange River, near the border with Namibia!

Turn-off to Bushwacked - S28 41 47.6 E17 35 03.5

Directions:
From Vioolsdrift ride 9.6km Northwest along the south bank (SA side) of the Orange river.
Look out for the signboard marked 'Bushwacked' and turn off toward the river
Ride through a farm yard (go slow please) and through a field of vegetables
Arrive at the campsite reception. The buildings are constructed of reeds.

From Bloemfontein - 1000km
From Windhoek - 800km

What about food and accommodation?
As usual we will organise the food, you just supply the money.
Choice of braai packs: (Choose two. One for Friday and one for Saturday)
- Steak (Scotch fillet, 2 x Sosaties)
- Chops (3 x Skaap tjops, piece of wors)
- Chicken (Quarter chicken, 2 x sosaties)
Bykosse. Salads. Maybe pap and sous. Details later.
Coffee/Tea and rusks for Saturday and Sunday morning
Brunch on Saturday. This is extra. Cost to be supplied by Bushwacked.
If vegetarian, also please indicate. Same with Kosher/Halaal requirements. We will try our best to accommodate or come to alternative arrangement with the particular member.
There will be paper plates and plastic utensils. Proper cutlery is available but we can't guarantee it at this stage. Will update nearer to the date.
Accommodation is limited to camping however there are off-site chalets approximately 5km away. Details of this will be given shortly.
Camping are handled by WD organisers. Please do not book and pay directly at the site. It is included in the Bash price.
How much will it cost?
R 400 per person attending
This includes 2 braai packs, t-shirt, bash sticker, onsite logistics, tee/coffee/rusks, bykosse, braaiwood etc.
NB: Additional braai packs can be ordered at R 50 a braai pack.

There is no cut-off date ito Bash attendance and payment. Can do it at the Bash as well but would prefer all attendees paid up by 10 October. It just eases admin on our side ito of number and catering requirements.
BUT
There will be a cut off ito of the T-Shirt sizes. By 7 September we will do the t-shirt order. Anyone who is not on the list indicating t-shirt size, will have to take a 2XL. Same applies for braai packs. Late comers won't have a choice ito of braai packs. We will order a few extra t-shirt (2XL) and braai packs (mix) for late booking/arrivals. 8)
Cut-off for braai pack orders is Friday 23 September.
Bar charges beers at around R12 each and hard liquor about R10 a tot. Cooldrinks are R8 and shooters roughly the same.
What kind of place is this Boswakaka?
Bushwacked is a Overland stopover and River Rafting base. There are usually two or three Overland Trucks filled with European students on their gap-year. The camp site will however be entirely booked by us so no saucy Swedes, sorry.
If you like you can pre-book a river trip but you will have to organise that on your own.
A big thank you to Oetie, Mr Big and Veldbrand who will be helping me with the arrangements. They have a big job so buy them a beer when you see them. Thanks guys.
