Ok, I admit to having a problem.

I had a 3 month lay-off from riding after the BMW crash.

Allison would not start after 3 months, and knowing that the battery is the same as I bought her with in December 2009, I replaced the battery.

I drive 60km each way, thus 120km, more than enough to recharge the battery. I have been using her daily for a month since I resumed riding.

As I arrived home on Friday, she would not start after I switched her off using the cut switch, in order to open the garage gates.

It was a flat battery.

I put her on the clever charger and at 23h00 she was fully charged and starting fine.

Thus, I have not enough voltage coming through to charge the battery.

I will test tonight, but my general knowledge points to either the voltage regulator (or the equivalent for a bike) or the stator.

My guess is the voltage regulator.

Does anyone have a spare I can test with? The best price I can get for one is R1150 ex VAT from Toy Store. Where else can I find a pirate part that will work?

Thanks in anticipation.

Riaan
