Anyone done something like this ?
There are a few options as far as getting a motorcycle but would be great to hear from anyone that has done this. I want to do a trip in the USA coast to coast and back
so will be looking at taking 8 weeks or so to do it.
So bike rental from rental companies works out to be very costly so my thought's are as follows buy a good second hand bike $3.5K BMW RT and sell when you are done or buy a very good late model 1250 GSA ride it and trade it in afterwards or to use Riders Share which is a site where you rent other guys private bikes but you are fully insured by Riders Share.
The bike I chose will have to be pillion friendly with packing space for camping.
Will be great to hear different opinions about these options from people that have done something like this.
