Hi There,
Sold my KLR earlier this year when my wife bought a new Bandit. The thumper just couldn't keep up. Got a VFR 800 with full luggage. Its brilliant, sounds the bollocks and will do anything you ask from it, except go offroad....
So now, I want to buy a traillie again, with enough voomah to run with the bandit but also join my boet (KLR) on a trip now and again. I dont want to get a softroader, so I'm basically limited
to Ktm 950/990, Gs 800/1150/1200 that can carry luggage, do 160 for 300 km without dying and can carry its own luggage and a pillion once in a while.
I've heard that the Ktm has reliability issues, and since I'm not buying new, this is a real concern, but I LOVE it. So, is this true ? Can I buy one with 40 000km on it?
