I have been a member for a while and am now ready to introduce myself formally.
I haven't had a bike for many years and am looking at investing in one.
I live in Tete Mozambique where it is hot, dusty and remote. Roads are shocking - only the main roputes are tarred - rest is dirt - not built roads but just scraped - so rainy season its chaos.
So the bike I am looking for is something like a KTM Adventurer/XT660/Transalp/Husqvarna - Preferably a little more robust in terms of offroadability. I will not really be touring as such but want the ability to do road trips to Malawi over long weekends etc (round trip of say 850km)
But must also have the ability to explore dry river beds and animal paths etc.
I like the Yamaha XT660 Tenere and the Husqvarna FS510 (preferred!!)
I am an avid offroader (Jeep Wrangler fan) and have done some serious extreme offroading. So I like to push limits to a certain degree.
Any Advice/comments welcome.
