Noneking and Dwerg’s reunion ride.

It’s been nearly 5 years since I’ve ridden with my younger/shorter brother, our last ride was in Namibia in 2018. A lot has happened since…. I’ve discovered the joys of riding a KTM and @Dwerg has crashed a couple of times and moved down to the Cape. His new Triumph was begging to be taken on a proper adv ride

Catching my wife off guard, I asked her if I could send her and the kids home alone after our holiday in Noetzie and do a bike trip back to Nelspruit before starting work again. Shocked at her approval of my outrageous plan, I spoke to Dwerg and we started planning.

My bike was couriered to Dwerg’s house in Vermont a few weeks prior to our departure to Noetzie.

The Holiday in Noetzie was spectacular and Dwerg and his wife joined us for Christmas

We then joined Dwerg at his new pozzie in Vermont. We did some touristy stuff and also spent some time getting the bikes ready.

My family left at daybreak on the 28th with a long drive ahead to spend the night in Colesburg at @NIMMO ‘s Sunset Chalets.

Dwerg and I wasted no time getting kitted and ready to ride.

And then we were ready to go!

Quick refuel in Hermanus and then we rode out towards Stanford

To be fair, I wasted quite a bit of time most mornings

Dwerg lead the way as we rode towards Napier and then on to Bonnievale.

The big bikes eat up the kilometres effortlessly and we soon find ourselves on Montagu where loadshedding dashes our hopes of getting a proper coffee.
