Howzit guys,

Was at Doc's Place today and learnt something quite interesting about the water pump and its seals whereby it can leak a small amount of oil/water out of the pump.  ??? there is a small hole in the bottom of the pump. Anyways I got all the seals and gaskets from Graham got home and set about changing them which involved taking off the engine side cover.

While this was off I checked out my Oil strainer. I couldn’t believe all the cr@p that gets stuck in there. After Cleaning an assembling everything the bike is MUCH quieter and smoother than before. I really cannot believe the difference and would recommend that you guys check out your oil strainer especially if you've replaced your broken doohicky springs. I think the other brown pieces are chunks of my cam chain guides.    :'(

Just my 2cents
