So I set off intrepidly on Saturday morning for my first trip into the Karoo. Solo, but that's the way I generally ride.
The X-Challenge had just been serviced, but I got it back only the previous day so there was not much time for a decent shake-down run.
So ~100km into the trip I notice oil on my right boot
I pull over, and the engine is covered in oil. Enough to be have run down into the bash plate, and slowly drip onto the ground.
I turned around and made it back home, and the trip became a bakkie trip.
Not a happy chappie, me :angryfire: :angryfire:
So my question is - what could cause this? Overzealous mechanic filling up with too much oil, and I could have carried on? Or more serious? Was I right to bale?
