I have a set of Jessie Panneirs and topbox for sale. R13500-00. Fits both the 1200GS and the 1200GSA (Yes, for the adventure you have to remove the existing pannier brackets)
These are made of high quality 2mm (.080) thick aluminium. There is over 1.8 metres of weld on each box, and both mig and tig welding process are used. Welding on the inside as well as the outside ensures perfect penetration and maximum strength. The weld is up to 2 times the thickness of the aluminum. With the added corners and angles of the boxes, the panniers provide the ultimate in strength. Angles add strength to the box as well as a little more clearance for cornering or for your leg when you are paddling out of the deep sand. The cams that hold the panniers to the mounts are rated at 58 kg each. 2 cams per pannier increase that rating to 115 kg per pannier.
The design of the handles incorporates two latches and stainless steel lock mechanisms (one on each end of each pannier) with more comfortable handles for carrying your bags (the panniers also make for great “chairs” when sitting around a campfire). The hinges are machined from 70 series aluminium with stainless steel dual pivots for proper operation and seal. The handles are also machined of aluminium and have the cam-over and lock mechanism in one clean piece. The opening to the box is wider to make for easier packing. And the lid itself is packable with the use of the spring loaded lid packing devices.
