the facts are, after a slippery weekend at the Katberg, i need to replace my gear lever and the right front indicator. suzuki want to charge the typical stealership fees which are ridiculous and i would like to avoid giving them my money as much as possible.
suzuki south africa confirmed that the prices the suzuki stealership quoted me were correct (man must do this, trust no one).
the price quoted for the gear lever was over six hundred rand and the price quoted for the indicator was over five hundred rand.
this makes me shudder to think of what they would charge for the bike itself if there was no competition??!!??
does anyone know anyone, who may know someone who carries these parts at a respectable price? do any forum vendors have stock or parts that would do the job? are any strom owners carrying spares they don't need? if anyone can help it would be MUCH appreciated.
