I have the bike for the last 10 years and I noticed a small drop of oil coming out of the bell housing. Pig headed as I am I decided to ignore it but recently it became obvious that something has to be done. With my new position as master of my own fate and some time on my hands I decided to do the dreaded rear main seal. Dreaded because you basically have to take the engine out of the frame in order to split engine and gear box. With the bike being shaft driven that means out with the rear wheel, swing arm and other bits and bobs to get to it. I decided to entertain (or bore the crap out of you) with his little write up about this job.
