Middag honne,
I need to test the rear shock on my 2010 GSA. This past weekend we had an outride and I bend the control arm (silver rod) above the drive shaft for the second time. Now I searched high and low and found a lot of information, but most is speculation on what could be the problem.
I am slightly heavy at 120kg and I had my panniers and top box loaded with pump, repair kit and camping stuff for one night. I had my suspension set on one helmet with luggage and was driving between 80 & 90 km/h when I hit a rock in the road.
I want to replace the swing arm, but need to know what else I can do to prevent this, because I have a feeling my bike bottoms out easily. I want to test the rear shock, but don't know where. I am in Windhoek.
If I look at the stealer price for a replacement shock, it brings tears to my eyes, so please give me some good news.
