I have Sanyo eneloop which works great, but can't find them again.

Which ones are good nowadays?

Shot.

The Maha 9000 is absolutely brilliant when it comes to AA/AAA.
I am over the moon with the results.

Ni-Zn are not really widespread and the best of the AA cells is the Eneloop as listed in that article.
The Uniross Hybrio (old ones) and GP Reycko are matching the Eneloops.
Duracell are selling the Eneloop rebranded, these are the ones I have.  Look out for Duracell "active charge" with a white top.
