I haven't been tent shopping in many years and I don't see any other discussions around this (surprising). Simple question; Do you have a small (carry on a bike) tent that's surpassed your expectations at a decent price point?
The whole swag thing is cool & everything but I enjoy the real estate of a "real" tent.
I can't afford a R4000 hiking tent. Are the R700~R1000 Oztrail/Cadac jobbies worthwhile? Is it worth spending double that on a First Ascent like this? I just need something to put up with a Highveld Thunderstorm and Namibian wind.
