Redesign KLR Air box intake

I can’t believe that someone designed an air box with the intake above the wheel arch of a dual purpose bike. My KLR’s filters last for 600kms on dry gravel before they are toast.

Has anyone done a mod (or know of an after market box) to a KLR air box to move the air intake from somewhere under the tank? I’m gatvol with cleaning filters
