I have the above "J" that is in need of someone's time and enthusiasm and who specializes in Kawasaki restorations. It's roadworthy, runs Ok but is in need of a complete restoration or will eventually just disappear and this I would rather like to avoid.
Frame: apart from sandblasting on up, it will need some decent welding work to repair a cracked sub-frame.
Engine: uses oil, so comprehensive overall and one oversize bore. Carbs need a re-build too.
Clutch: needs plates and springs.
Electrics: no issues there.
Brakes: skim discs, otherwise ok.
Tank: been repaired before I bought it, so will need some TLC and a respray in Eddie Lawson Green.
Plastics: ok.
Seat: redo.
