Was frigging cold, as long as you kept going it was ok, but if you stopped, you were in serious sheet. We eventually stopped at the police station at Roussou and the station commander insisted on giving us a fat lunch, padkos and a packet of biltong before we left in the snow for the next 60  or 80km, cant remember, just that we arrived at a place called Smuts pass at about 9 that night..
