Hi all.
This thread is about riding alone, and wether it's advisable or not.
Although I stick to tar most of the time, there are times when a dirt road calls for a little exploring. Also, living in South Africa there are a lot of dirt roads to explore. Now I'm not an old hand at biking, and this thread is mostly about new and mostly inexperienced bikers.
The incident with Peaches brought home to me how dangerous biking can be, and I know how quickly a person can go down. I'm thinking that if I had a similar incident while riding alone, I could find myself in serious trouble.
So now I'm wondering and worried about riding dirt alone. Should I or shouldn't I?
What do the rest of you do? I don't mean the old dogs like Shark_za and similar, although I would like their comments too.
Should I always take the non - tar (even easy dirt highways) with a riding buddy and keep to the tar otherwise, or is dirt something I must learn to do and get over it?
Thanks.
