Riding pants with built in knee guards - BS IMO

I've got acerbis riding pants. It's a great piece of kit, but I'm disappointed in the knee guards. They hang below your knees when U  stand up, and only move into the correct position when you sit down on the bike. So at first I thought great - as long as they're in position while I'm on the bike, right?

Farking wrong. Because when you fall, you are not going to be on the bike - and thusly the knee guards are not going to be in the correct position to protect your knees, they are going to be too low.

So I've taken mine out, and I'm riding with my external Thor gaurds again.
