I purchased a new Nuvi 500 which is preloaded with SA Streetmaps 2012. They assured me when installing basecamp and mapsource from the R20 cd I will be able to "transfer" the map/license to mapsource. I even downloaded the 500mb streetmaps exe to try that but the same result:
