Hi guys, I used to work in this industry and for one of the big OEM's, just 2c from my side, Hisense are using LG panels, only difference is that LG will be for instance using 7th gen panels where Hisense will be using 5th gen LG panels, good value for money - I think (and I'm not working for Hisense, lol)

I bought a 48" Samsung 400Hz smart TV more than 7 years ago. It is still superb but getting something similar now costs an arm and a leg.
Around 2 years ago were looking for a TV for above the fireplace. Ended up paying R2999 for a 40" Skyworth Android TV. If I had to buy another TV I would go for a Skyworth again

My tv is 40" en hy is nie smart nie en hy is 'n Hisense. Ek het hom al vir 10jaar.
As ek sê ek stap in en koop tv, sê ek... dis net 'n tv.

Got a huge skyworth recently and super chuffed. Full Google TV.
Either way, when you buy, check the Takealot specials, these tvs have a cycle, every few days another is on special, you will soon get a feeling for what is the low and high cost. And while the low may be gone, the low will be applicable at other shops as well, there is a discount ceiling. its more than R5k difference on a R30k tv...
