Hi Guys, not sure if this is the correct place to ask about this but was wondering what Satellite internet service providers works well in SA. Second question is for someone with such a device...and if possible to do a traceroute to www.google.com (do to a traceroute on a Windows device you need to open command prompt, type tracert wwww.google.com and hit enter and for phones there are a few apps that can be used to get the information.)
The reason for this is all about planning. I am investigating some "in case of Eskom goes dark" events, and if internet connectivity is affected, want some means of getting out of the country...charging the device can be done with generators and solar etc... VSAT options by local ISP's tend to be relatively cheap...but all the connections come back into RSA..which, should Eskom roll over and play dead, will not be of much help.

What is your thoughts...and what have you considered. I want to be able to read the WD forum while Eskom sorts itself our.
