Race Dog
There was a thread on advrider a while back about someone who broke the frame on his X-Challenge from rock impact around the pegs, and Kutch over there worked up some hard parts to protect the frame. I've been sent a copy of the DXF file and am planning to have 10 sets cut at Waterjet from 5mm steel, if there's interest from enough Dogz.
This isn't a money-making venture - just cost-covering - the original designs were made available as a community thing. I'm still trying to get prices on powdercoating (anyone got any contacts? Or perhaps galvanising is a better idea?), but it should work out at around R400-450 per set, plus postage if you're upcountry. For CT people I could leave them at Topbox's shop, or somewhere in town, for collection.
PM if interested - once I have 6 or 7 people plus myself I'm happy to pull the trigger. There's a shot below of one of the hard parts paying for its supper!
cheers
