Before buying my new 890R last year (2021) in July, I saw service intervals at 15 000km, and I thought now that is not bad as I do around 10-15 k per year.

So end of August 2022 I take the bike in for it's first annual service, clock around 10 500 km, and I tell the dealer workshop that I'm going on a 4000km trip to the Cape and back. Bike gets it's annual service, costs around R3500 and upon colelction workshop tells me, "See you in 2 week's time when you're back"!

I ask why and they inform me that there is a 15 000 km service as well, and I should prepare for another R4500 for this "minor service". And then mentions, "You should have done the trip first and then have the services combined!"

Of course only after the service was done... Anyway, like they say, "Behind every KTM, is an ATM"

But it is still an awesome bike, I'll now just have to do 15 000km per year!
