Short DS rides around Durbanville

I am new to the area, moved down last year and need some advice.

I am looking to get my son out on dirt to gain experience. With the XR125 it is slow going though and we cannot go far. Apart from Paarl Mountain, are there any other DS rides around Durbanville we can explore?
