Slip Sliding to Springbok Rally

Off to Springbok Rally Friday morning, leaving Morningstar, N7 Cape Town in the rain!!
First challenge - Breede River flooded outside Rawsonville - aah turn around!
Dirt road to Robertson - slippery and slidy this way and that for a few long stretches! No fotos!
Calitzdorp to Die Hoek rally site - nice and wet, thankfully no red clay.
Some lekker diep puddle crossings.
Springbok Rally was a jol but left Sat am for fear of alcohol poisoning!!
Had to stop for a rest on top of old Montagu Pass on Saturday

Oh Dear, this chap skriked into the mountain when the KTM came past!!
Ventured down to Mosselbay then took the dirt road up to Barrydale -
Warmwaterberg.
From there the schleup of going through Sanbona....... Big 6 country now!
Time for sleep........lekker time as usual.

I don't think there is a tyre made for the red slippery slid smelly ugly f....cking clay momentum is the only thing and pray you don't hit a deep hole that the slimy shit f......cking clay is hidding, when i could i approached the clay at about 40 then just spun like mad thankfully the longest stretch was only about 50m

I did the same sections as you on the dirt... Between Villiers drop and Robertson, was slippery as hell. Then I did dirt road from Montagu to Ladysmith, lots of water crossings and mud and then I also did the Calitsdorp to campsite dirt road. Was very very nice.

we waited and waited for the escort and where eventualy alowed throu with another tourist car,
Don't know why?
They tried to make it difficult?
They are not very efficient?
it really is dangerous?
They are just full of shit?
I would not like to meet a big beasty on the road,
we did see one of thoes huge game viewing trucks full of tourist I think we we were the only beasties they saw at 11.00 in the day,
