I bought this bike a while ago. But as I am about to move to Marlothpark that garage cannot accommodate 4 bikes, 3 cars and a trailer. So things need to go. And I need to fly back to work in the next week, so dont have time to waste.
Yes it is the XR650R ,think last ones and registered 2006 November.
It was sadly garaged for over 2 years, I bought it being told it is in "excellent" condition and well maintained. Well those words cost me an additional 14k at offroad cycles as I wanted it fully checked, and standing for 2 years things rust, like a chain.
-New chain,sprockets, major service, valve clearances , new foot pegs , new grips, had to put new supressor cable. Carb re-jetted, Everything done that was required. Also new steering head bearings as well as swingarm bearings.
- It has a vapour on it, so no I do not know the exact km's.
-Long range Acerbis tank, D606 tyres with about 50% life left.
- Honesty section: It has scratches, it is expected but nothing serious. The front rim I can see a crack. Something to maybe be changed later. Will go look for it and take a photo.
- The indicators do not work.... I could not be bothered....
Licensed and up to date.
The bike costs me 87k where it stands there. Want 68k NON negotiable. It has done 200km since the major service.
I am taking it to Pretoria from Parys tomorrow and leaving it with my brother at Off Road cycles. I have to take my 800GSA for a service as well so makes things easier.
