Just a feeler on selling my bike.
Please read Kykdaar's comments as well before you make a choice.
Iceberg 2006 F650GS
BMW TopBox
BMW tank bag (seen a fair bit of use - Needs a new Zip)
ABS and heated grips
(Replaced the brake pads on the 27 th of October 2016)
Papers are up to date
no outstanding eToll account
Full service history with BMW (have every invoice from BMW)
Last service was the 90 000 km service (with Waterpump) done by Motorad Centurion
Reason: Problems with sight and the hard contact lenses combined with wind is a huge pain. So not able to get use out of the bike.
Problems with bike:
Had to redo the seat cover as it started wearing out.
Typical BMW speed cluster problem that it looses the KM on the ODO when switched off.
The grips are a bit worn, but still does the job.
Bit of seepage at the fork.
Will lower the price to R18000 because of the things that needs fixing.
Looking at about R20000 for the bike.
Pop me a PM for more details. Standing in the garage. Last time used was March this year.

Kykdaar said:Gents, this is not a bad bike - far from it. It has been well cared for and has a service record with BM. The main issue is blow by with oil landing up in the airbox. Given the milage, probably the result of a worn piston and rings. This is not the end of the world. My Dakar cost me R3.5K in parts to replace the piston and rings. At the asking price that is still attractive for someone with a bit of mechanical ability given that this is a 2 spark GS with ABS and heated grips.
