KTM 690 RFR - R250,000
This bike was imported by the original owner through RAD KTM in Jo’burg and first registered 30 March 2010. Due to medical issues he gave up riding and sold the bike to me with 800km’s on the clock. I am the 2nd owner and have since put on another 3,000 odd km’s. The ODO reading stands at 3,940km.
The bike is an original factory built rally machine of which only a handful were made, to order, very few ended up in private hands. The bike has a simplified electrical system and a carb for ease of maintenance and reliability. The 2009 model EDITwas the last 690 rally bikes built apparently there were some produced in 2010, as they were still allowed ro race in the Dakar but with restrictors fitted, it has top of the range WP suspension, and specially designed and built Akropovic pipes. It comes with the factory navigation tower incl. road book, ICO and all the connection points and fuses for Iritrac, GPS, etc. The bike is licensed and on the road.
It carries 36L of fuel in three separate tanks and was religiously serviced about every 500kms by Donald Walklett (Dux on the WD Forum) and has just had a major service at Eddy2Race.
Still has the original sprockets and front tyre.
The bike has never been raced and has never been in an accident. See the threads below for some indication of how much these bikes cost at the time.
Send me a PM if genuinely interested :thumleft:
