In the beginning of the year I bought a 2nd hand DR-Z 400E to help me ease into the world of adventure biking.  I am now fully eased-in and since I have now acquired a Tiger 800 I think it's time to sell on the DR-Z.

The good:
------------
Papers are all in order.

Since buying it I have done the following:
New front brake disk
New brake pads front and rear
Re-spoked the front rim
Fitted Michelin T63 tyres front and rear
Fitted tail tidy with LED tail light (original is included)
New Pro-Taper handlebar and bar risers
New Zeta XC hand guards
New valves
Serviced forks and new steering neck bearing

The not-so good:
--------------------
It runs, and I commute to work with it once a week, but it suffers from a hanging idle (I have to blip the throttle to get it down to idle).  I'm told it's because the slide is worn on the (flat-slide) carburetor and it's going to need a new carb.
The right hand side plastic radiator guard/fins is missing ...but both sides are just begging to be replaced with a nice metal rad guard anyway.
There are some operation scars on the seat from where the previous owner had tears repaired.
The rims have some pock-marks from years of off-road fun.
The exhaust is rather loud.  ...But come to think of it that's also a good thing ;-)
I have also managed to burn a hole in the right-hand side cover when a saddle bag pressed it against the exhaust (long story!)  In the photos it is covered it with a piece of white vinyl.

I bought it in Feb 2015 on 32300km and it's now on 34500km.  I've only ever taken the cam/valve cover off so don't really know anything about the condition of the rest of the motor, besides that it does run and reliably takes me to work (and even back!) once a week.

Asking R28 000 as-is.
I live in Edgemead, Cape Town.
