I am planning a trip through Southern Namibia down to Cape Town and would appreciate any tips and advice from fellow WD's of places to go and things to do in Namibia.
I'll be flying in to Windhoek from overseas and renting a BMW R1200GS LC with pannier bags and ortlieb bag.
A rough plan for the trip is to start in Windhoek and ride across to Swakopmund - spend a day or two in Walvis / Swakopmund before heading back to Windhoek and then down south.
Windhoek - Mariental - Keetmanshoop - Aus - Luderitz - Ais Ais -Vioolsdrif - Clanwilliam - Cape Town.
Time wise I'll have about 13 days to do this.
Because its a rental bike and my experience with dirt roads is limited I'd like to stick to the black stuff as much as possible.
Any ideas / comments / suggestions are welcome.
I'll also need to courier my riding gear up to Windhoek from Cape Town so if anyone has any experience in this I'd appreciate some advise.
