As per heading....my adventure touring partner is now CT based and I am GP based, so for us to get a 3 or 4 day ride in together is a mission. I am trying to find a cost effective answer other than a dedicated trailer service that I can load my 950 onto months ahead of time if need be and have it shipped to CT. Then, once I have a ride done, when its convenient for the transporter again months later if need be at a time that suits them, it gets transported back to GP. I am time pressured so eating days either side a trip to get to the start and return by car and trailer, is not really an option for me.
I am kinda thinking, some space on a flat deck of a truck. As I think that, my brain says "how you will get it onto the truck? how will it be secured if its not a bike specific hauler....maybe you are dreaming son"
So, has anybody tried such a thing or have ideas other than bike movers?
