ok, i am seriously "raad-op" here.
as you all know i recently aquired a KTM 640 adventure.
it's a year old, but only had 600km on the clock when i got it.
the mileage is currently 1200km.
so here's the glitch:
the bike is awesome except for one little annoying thing - it splutters at 4000rpm.
to be more accurate, it feels like fuel starvation.
the problem only happens in that rev range, and the bike feels fine at any other rpm.
ktm pro-action changed the jets which rectified the situation fractionally.
they then checked EVERYTHING, and i mean EVERYTHING.
from jets, pilot jets, needle position, fuel lines, fuel pump, and eventually swopped the whole carb.
and guess what? it still splutters, but now at 3000rpm.
what i have noticed is that it doesnt do it when the engine is cold.
SO,
i eagerly await ANY suggestions as to what the heck could cause this.
