March 8, my daughter Jessica and I escaped from our chores and off to Grahamstown for brunch and down to the coast, well two thirds of the way there it started drizzling so inland we ventured. We decided to gravel some familiar roads to see what changes the good rains we had recently brought about.
So we set off for Shamwari , Alicedale,Riebeek East,Anns Villa and finally Croc ranch for lunch/supper.

Great! Any tour makes great reading.  :ricky:

Nice ride but why such a wuss - should have joined the BMW club ouens ... they did a lekker ride down the Mikshed/Green Fountain Resort other side of Port Alfred (GS's did gravel from Alex) where I met them ... lekker brekkie ... then I had plotted nice dirt route through the Kap River reserve and back to Bathurst for a beverage or two and then more gravel back to G'town, with some guys peeling off for Salem and back to PE. No Rain?!

Nice pics

Why are there so many ex-houses? ???

Further down the road there was a church service in a crumbling shack ,I don't see the logic to strip and demolish so many houses that could have been put to good use.
I am trying to find out more about this place.
