Want to buy a conventional survival / hiking compass.
Seems some of the features to look out for include compactness, accuracy, durability, weather proofing, being luminous at night, containing magnifying lens, sight wire, etc.
Makes me think of the compasess we were trained to use in the army.....but that was a long time ago so things have probably moved on quite a bit.
Any suggestions as to which compasses will be suitable for the job and where they may be purchased? Dont just want to buy over the Net, want to see, feel and handle it first.
