I read that the uncorked 500 has around 39kw. But it pulls lekker strong from idle. Never had her over 6000 rpm yet. Should rev up to 10500 when derestricted.

It has nothing to do with your specific bike. Both Brendan and Kyle told me the warranty is void if it has been unlocked as it is then "unlocked for racing"

Your 500 should be unlocked as well Lars so the warranty is void anyway.

You should stop assuming so much. Never once did he say his bike was unrestricted. Nor did you ask.

I have ridden it and it is amazing. Coming from WP suspension it handles great.

Same engine as the Husqvarna TE 510 from 2010. Build in the same factory as the pre KTM Husqvarnas in Italy.

Yes, I probably should. I thought I read that his was derestricted on the SWM Owners WhatsApp group. My mistake.

SWM SA will not honor the warranty. Derestricted or not.

I know it does not come from WBC.
Manufacturer warranty is still void if it has been unlocked.

Between a rock and a hard place.
Unlocking increases the Air Fuel Ratio and solves classic lean mixture issues like popping on the overrun, sensitive throttle and difficult starting. The engine also runs cooler which is good for longevity. On the other hand it removes the lowish rev limiter on the 300 and 500, which if abused can reduce engine life...

So Christmas morning a good freind who claims I have a lot for him this year has this delivered to my home .
What a surprise !!
I have about 300km so far and very impressed. I have previously had Honda Xr 650 and my last bike was Ktm 690 . Its not close to 690 as far as crazy goes but very much more comfortable and handles better than the Honda .
