To me this trip was great - being able to spent quality time with old friends in uncomfortable but awesome places!! Isn't that the real meaning of "Adv riding"?
After this trip I had a pretty much disastrous Christmas and New year!
And to top it all off a dear friend and colleague of almost 25yrs suddenly died on the 6th of Jan - heart attack while practicing his favourite sport - rowing on the Breede river - a privelage hey... ...more fit and healthy than me!!

So tonight my advise is: Appreciate every little moment with friends and loved ones!! Never take it for granted!!
