tent poles

So after finally getting around to checking out my camping stuff from using it in december I find some of my tent poles are looking a bit worse for wear I was wondering if anyone knows what the correct grade of aluminium to use for tent poles is ?
I got some already and it has no flex so once you bend it it stays bent and rather more difficult to get back in the bag
anyone have a clue also where it can be purchsed from ?
