The 10 year itch

It amazes me to see how many new members, myself included, have been off bikes for 10 years or so and then decide to buy bike and get back into the scene. Why did this happen to you? Seems to me that folks get married, have a kid or 2 and decide to be "responsible" for a while. A little later in life the bug bites again, or do we really suffer the mid life crisis.
