This morning dawned with a promise of rain!
Had to travel to Maeyaeyane (+/- 60 km west of Mafikeng) to assist in the coupling of taps for garden irrigation. As my Office is still in Lichtenburg, I decided to take the bike and meet up with the technician in Mafikeng.
We traveled via the Bray tar road and turned off at Makgobistad, towards Maeyaeyane.
I quickly helped the guys to get going and when I left had a look at the GPS and decided to have a look at this road which I have not traveled before.
I was just getting up to speed and was confronted by this gate This does not bode well. Wondered if I should turn around, but decided to press on.
It was the last gate.
Looking back!
A few kilometers later the road turned into sand But it must have rained last night, as the sand was just right. Lose enough to be fun, but compact enough to manage 80km/h.
Still further on, they must have had a bit more rain, as there were puddles about every 100m 8) Most could be passed to either side, but some you had to cross.
I don't know if it was because I was without a bike for so long or what, but I had a blast today.
Cheers for now!
