Suzuki hosted the launch of the DE version of its 1050 V-Strom in KZN, riding through both the countryside and the densely populated villages with roads ranging from dirt to tar roads who are trying to be dirt.
The DE is the more offroady version of the V-Strom with longer suspension travel, more ground clearance, more protection, spoked wheels with a 21-inch front and otherwise all the easy riding of the base V-Strom.
It now ticks boxes that the previous version did not, especially among the more hardcore riders.
