The comment about the crown got me thinking about handedness and watch wearing.

Do all right handed people prefer watches on the left arm?

If so, why?

I am a southpaw and switched to right arm after an electrical experience with a steel watch strap on my left arm.
I have figured out people wear watches on the opposite arm to what they are. Left handed people wear on the right arm. Reason I think you use the "clever" hand to fasten the strap with.

Bought a watch or two from these people in the UK, great speedy service and excellent service with express DHL delivery. Prices very good and even an option to offer a price per watch not just the price you see is the price they want.

Can recommend them...(y)

I have these in my drawer here.

I still need to take them in to have them looked at.

The 2 on the left are mine from the 90 's, my fiancé's late father's in the middle and the other 2 my late father's..

I love a good watch.
It's probably right up there with bikes and guitars. However I don't buy as a collector but rather a user. I have a pretty narrow bandwidth when it comes to the style of the watch, mainly because, at 57, my eyes don't see all the pretty little details anymore. I need to see what time it is.
That said, your choice of watch definitely says a lot about you. Almost all of mine are Field watches. Big displays, easy to read, no BS. Gone are the days of chronographs.

This is my Flight Engineer's clock from a 747 I used to fly. A lot of nostalgia here.

Seiko 5 Sports. Love it: The "Kalashnikov" of mechanical watches. Mine is now in need of a service.

A very unique watch gifted to me by a colleague and dear friend who co-owns a watchmaking business in Reykjavik (Iceland). This is an Arc-tic IMT (Icelandic Mean Time), a tongue-in-cheek GMT wheel shows a second hour display.

Blue Casio. Just because it's blue. Uses 2 batteries to power the watch and the dial light, which is also blue..

I like Blue.
