So, as per heading, I have an itch.
I had several KTM’s and BMW’ in the past including 950SE, 990R x 4, 1190R, 1200GS, 1200GSLC, 1250GSA. Currently have a beautiful condition Triumph 1200XE scrambler and absolutely love the bike, but I am considering buying a 2021/2022 KTM 1290 super adventure R.
The last KTM I owned was the 1190R and I moved away from KTM due to the suspension “downgrade” from the 990R’s. I am thus interested in owners opinions especially regarding the suspension on the new updated 1290. I know about the new airbox design. What are the general opinions from owners? I do not ride eveyday and only do two to three short trips (+-500km) and one long trip per year (+-4000km). Thus total distance per year is around 6000km.
